a lot of the times as soon as i sit down more than a couple minutes to rest im pretty much done doing stuff for the rest of the day. if i start being productive in the morning it’s so much easier to stay productive throughout the day

For me, I know that I am going to get the most stuff done when I first wake up. I don’t even do the things that are going to distract me like my phone or sitting down until I finish. I also unintentionally created incentive for myself because I don’t play my little word games until get a bunch of stuff done that I need to 🤪 Everyone has a time during the day where they have the most energy and focus. Figure out when that is for you and try to work with that. I know for me that the longer the day goes on the less likely I am to do those things, so I plan around it. Some people actually can only work like that at like, 8 PM. Maybe you’re nuts and work really well after lunch!!! Anyway, TLDR, pay attention to your natural rhythm and work with it.

a couple years ago my friend would make plans with me ~9-10am and we'd stop hanging out at 2 and go "holy shit there's like, a whole day left" even though we'd already been going for four or five hours which would not feel true if we started at say, 11-12 recently have been trying this new thing where i shift my working hours forward so i'm online from 7-3 or even 8-4 instead of 9-5 and it's similarly liberating; it's just rewarding to take back your own time a little bit and feel like "because i woke up earlier there's more time in my day"

Hear me out: as someone who works from home, I spent many months waking up, walking to the couch, and opening my laptop. By noon, I felt sluggish, lethargic. Starting my day with an action (ie unloading the dishwasher) helped me to feel more motivated and grounded!

its crazy to me we are now at a point where major companies are actively putting measures into their products to make them hard or impossible to fix on your own. if you take it anywhere else to get it fixed your warranty is now voided. i just paid like $1000 for this phone. do i even really own it if nobody but the company i bought it from can fix it? better yet you bring it to them and they will essentially do nothing but quote you for overpriced parts you don’t need or more likely just tell you to buy a new phone. thanks apple!!!
