I hate when I receive a monetary gift for South Indian new year and then I use it and then I want to kill myself because I used it (on things I dont even regret) but now its gone and I cant make more money because no one will hire me and the anger turns existential because what do you mean...? why do I want myself to feel so evil and terrible for not saving this money.

when you see someone’s art or writing or project and you appreciate it and want to give them money. feels so good to give them money for the thing so there can be more of their energy in the world. and then knowing when i create my thing other people can feel that way giving money to me, and money doesn’t have to feel so ick or evil (capricorn)

I think we are all done with gift cards! They never get used and eventually expire & its hard to keep track of how much is on each card so I am starting the embrace plain cash as a gift instead

When I was 14 my dad and uncle took me to a Dave Mathews concert. My uncle bought me a hat that was $50 (too much for a hat Dave, cmon) and just now I’m realizing how much that was, especially then, to him, on top of what he must have paid for my ticket
I heard before that the true use of money is for keeping promises (hence promissory note) but I think it’s true use in this post capitalist hellscape is to put smiles on ur family and friends faces
