omg okay. restaurants: bar sen/ma der (laotian) , szechuan story, sheesh mahal (pakistani) , pho cuong or pho lien hoa (Vietnamese) , sedalias (seafood), el sabor de la baja (best mexican food coming from someone from san diego), or nonesuch ($$$) bars: lunar lounge/barkeep (cocktails and cocktail supplies at barkeep), goodtimes (divey, most of the bartenders are good friends of mine and so kind, beer shot combo deal, stoner food), 51st street speakeasy (live music, multiple bars in one building, pool and other games), the flea (VERY divey and cheap), good for a few (cocktails, incredible, charlie the owner is amazing), the study (wine bar, get the david lynch flight), prarie artisan ales (brewery specializing in sours, very affordable) to do: museum of osteology, first americans museum, the zoo, factory obscura, concerts at tower theater (criterion has bigger shows but the sound isnt as good), the myriad gardens, OKC bombing memorial, scissortail park im sure ill think of more but let me know if you have any questions! i moved here from san diego three years ago and i love it

@SHADOWBENI youre welcome! i also forgot to add bad grannys, dig it, wishbone, and magoos attic if youre wanting to do any curated vintage shopping along with tramps or the boom if you want a gay bar or drag shows (the boom does drag brunch saturday and sunday and regular shows every night i believe). also theres a bar connected to tower theater called ponyboy that has cocktails downstairs and djs upstairs fridays and saturdays and karaoke thursdays. theres also daily karaoke at cookies (smoking bar) and at blue note on wednesdays.

food recs include grand pied for breakfast, balkan treat box for lunch (has been listed as one of the best restaurants in the country), tamm ave bar/nomad for burger + beer, and milagro azteca for casual mexican food/margs. sado or lucky accomplice are good for a nicer dinner. bars include venice cafe (drinks are meh tbh but vibes are great), the vandy, or golden hoosier. if you're into beer, side project in maplewood has some crazy stuff and there are some cute local shops on the same strip. clementine's is maybe the best ice cream ever and if you go you have to get their gooey butter cake flavor i second the zoo/art museum recs, followed by a walk in forest park. city museum is also fun, or the botanical garden. tower grove or soulard farmers market are a nice weekend activity
