Personally, as a broke bitch who primarily shops for secondhand clothing, i hate resellers who go in thrift stores right when they restock and take everything good just to resell online for 50 bucks. But a grind is a grind I suppose. It can be done in moderation like you just go in, find something cool that you know is worth something but you don’t want it and decide to resell. That’s chillen in my opinion. It’s the aggressive, selfish, competitive bitches that I despise.

I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING.... lots of discourse about this topic. But I'm not talking about going to thrift stores and buying items just to mark them up. If you're a girl with an overflowing closet of stuff you barely wear like me ... sell your shit on depop. I've made close to $1000 this year just getting rid of stuff that I already have - not a TON of money but it's not nothing. And it's incredibly easy. I spend probably 1.5hrs a week on the app listing stuff and make a good amount of passive income on it. It's p much free money. DO IT!!!

Ok I just rediscovered Depop after years of not using it and it’s kind of the best if you’re shopping on a budget. Great for selling because there are no seller fees, but this also means that everyone marks everything down so you may not be able to sell for much. However this means that since everything is marked down, you can buy good quality/gently used stuff for really cheap so it kind of balances out!

I’ve had decent luck selling on depop but it can be a lot of work to photograph and post everything and then packaging and shipping. I wouldn’t go into it thinking you’re going to make a ton of money, it‘s an ok way to make a little pocket money. I’ve read a lot of horror stories on Reddit but never experienced being scammed irl (it helps to understand/be aware of potential scams though). Just be honest about the condition of the clothes, sell your items at a fair price and don’t let people lowball you. If you have nicer items (designer or indie brands) try Noihsaf Bazaar for a chiller experience.
