oh suuuuuch a sweetie and so much smaller and more baby like than the american robin. our robins are much bigger, louder, and are incredibly aggressive/precocious, especially when they’re in big packs

@WORLDONFIRE feel kind of sad for the American robin though, they never got a proper name of their own. Just some homesick people rocked up in America and we're all like "it's got a red chest. Basically a robin" they should have given it more respect really!

little birds right outside your window

Aimlessly scrolling when I saw a blur out the window in the corner of my eye and it happens to be a little American robin landed on a branch outside. it's still hanging around out there, just looking around and shaking itself off every so often. I have an exam in 10 minutes and my little robin friend is bringing me hope !

Rose crowned fruit dove

Would it not be dreamy if all of the common pigeons living in our urban hellscapes were replaced with these lovely relatives? I’m not sure how closely related they need to be to cross-bred but if it’s possible I’m getting my (ethical) bird net and making this my life’s mission. 📸 cred: unknown

silly little dudes! so great! you can get so close to them and feed them! and they're so pretty and they have iridescent feathers! also they kiss and it's very cute! and they live in little crevices and that's neat! also you can train them to do your bidding and poop on your enemies!
