Terrific museum if you enjoy Greek history. I used to go fairly regularly before the fires, hope it opens again soon. Very peaceful place to just sit and read or listen to music. Seabreeze blows in from the ocean over the courtyard pool giving it a nice chill.

Went to the Cloisters recently and had the loveliest time. Also a good spot to read or journal - so many gardens and grassy spots outside, very serene. Free tix with my library card :~)

I only went here for the first time recently and wow itโ€™s such a gem. A day pass gets you access to all of the libraries and you can just while the whole day away reading and looking at curiosities. Added bonus of overlooking one of Bostonโ€™s many revolutionary war cemeteries.

Namely the parks service and forest service. Pick the area you want to go first of course. They have tons of resources and niche info. Iโ€™m planning a 2 week backpack through part of the John Muir trail and when I needed info I wrote an, in retrospect, rambling email to the parks serviceโ€˜s address. They got back to me in 3 days with a numbered list answering all my questions. Whoever answered was super helpful and understanding of even some of the sillier questions.

Go somewhere that matches the vibe. Reading LOTR? Woods. Moby Dick? Seaside town. Anything Raymond Chandler? Quiet bar.
