i think messy and frizzy curls are the way to go. i grew up with my wavy hair always being tangled and messy, but when i brushed them, they would get super frizzy and wouldnโt go down. i think instead of shaming people for them, saying they look ratty, and making them insecure, we should instead embrace them and acknowledge their natural and raw beauty
