Another upbeat song to jam out to!
It has some interesting history, too. The band N.E.R.D was formed in 1994 by Chad Hugo, Shay Haley, and, most notably, Pharrell Williams--an artist whom Tyler, The Creator credits with igniting his early passion for music.
In 2002 at the age of 11, Tyler heard this song and became entranced by the unique genre-defying sound. Several months later, he discovered the artists behind it and has been a fan of both N.E.R.D and The Neptunes ever since!

every now and then when I feeling like I’m stuck in an auditory stump and nothing I listen to makes me feel something I’ll go back to my liked songs on Spotify and I’ll find myself in a space of rediscovery or confusion at whatever version of myself in the past decided to like a song and add it onto that playlist.
anywho, I came across a song from this artist 3EE and truthfully i cant remember how I even came across this artist, but the liked song def piqued my interest enough to go look up their discography and I kept thinking damn. This kid sounds kindaaa like Justin Timberlake - a younger more up to date synth-y version of JT.
maybe my ears are attuned a very specific manner but you can hear it in this song. let me know if I’m wrong.
executively produced by the neptunes (pharrell williams and chad hugo) so the production on this is soooo good. dean blunt/babyfather actually sampled flash back on penelope freestyle. perfect for sunnier days! and there’s a song called star wars and it has a lightsaber on spotify for computers that like lights up as the song progresses.
I think I saw this album on someone’s IG story and decided to give them a listen because their name was cool. As it turns out, it hits the mark for “energetic spacey hip hop” that I find I keep going back to in albums like Nudy’s Sli’merre. It’s a short but sweet EP, worth checking out.
Its called ProCCD! it emulates different digital camera/film styles and they look perfect. There are in-app purchases but i usually stick to one filter so i don’t mind.
