There is one crucial card I feel that must be tacked on to the list of Eno's Oblique Strategies: "Trap yourself in a greenroom between soundcheck and showtime...now await insanity, results, or both". Time and time again our band finds itself in this state of limbo, but one of my favorite new greenroom pastimes is commandeering the Spotify lyrics page of any song and turning into a chaotic Akai sampler. You essentially just need to click on the lyrics wherever on the song page and it will play the song at that exact point...feel free to get real wild with it and start doing 16th note taps on the lyrics all over the place lol...You'll soon realize that you can basically become a Kirkland's version of Fred Again overnight. I do feel like this technique is gonna catch on lol...you heard it here first!

when ur friend is playing some niche rhythms on the aux - hop on that spotify jam and queue Yes by LMFAO 8 times in a row without being caught. perfect for long car rides. some other good song options - Rock Lobster by B-52’s, The Fellowship of the Ring audio book narrated by Andy Serkis, and anything Gracie Abrams
