you never know what you might hear. In Spring the band start rehearsing in the church behind my house, opened the window to hear brass playing this morning. Wouldn’t have heard it if I’d kept it closed! Open that window! Let the world in!

if i need to travel from point a to point b i may as well do it on a boat. at one point in time i did need to temporarily ban myself from taking the ferry home from work because i’d always purposely miss my stop to enjoy more time on the boat and then have to trek back an extra hour on the subway which was certainly not the most convenient. worth it though.
many times it will not go well; this is a lesson in humility and resilience and your friends will have something to laugh at. they will grow out faster than you think. when the fringe trim is a success, the world becomes a more beautiful place.
