this past week, my last week of college ever, my roommates and i were given baby squirrels to nurse back to health. we did, and now they are at a wildlife rehab center. :) couldn't make this shit up if i tried.

sweet lil baby, thank you for your service to nature. i did this with some baby possums two years back and now they’re happy up in the mountains and i wish the same blessed fate for your squirrel child

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
nothing touches my soul deeper than the sound of music. all of the women in my family have cherished the movie forever, and i grew up listening to the music. everytime i hear that opening song, i cry and am flooded with pure and unadulterated joy. i’m convinced my nana is in fact maria, making it that much sweeter for me. a perfect film that makes me believe that musicals are the closest thing we have to magic.
