literally some of the most gut-wrenching-ly beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. and not because they’re sad perse but because they just give me an immense sense of longing. specifically love songs on the radio and your life in art. beautiful music with so much melancholy.

- ive been listening to the cover of Jealous Guy by Roxy Music (general recommendation for roxy music here) a lot recently - its 1000000x better than the original and verry 80s
- Surrender by Suicide (NOT THE REMASTER i love how echoey and distorted the original is) - it makes me feel unreal
- Why Do You Love Me? by The Cocteau Twins and Harold Budd
- Catch by the Cure, honestly most things by The Cure make me feel so so in love - i'm not sure who or what with - but this song always makes me cry

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WORKER’S DAY!!!! i love having a union, i love being a union steward and getting to support my unit. when my union won its contract, i got a pay bump, better benefits, and increased protection as a worker. 🥳
unions help address racial and gender pay gaps, issues workplaces impose on families and those having kids, addressing unsafe conditions, plus things like better health insurance, wages and overtime, weingarten rights to representation, and more!!!
