pw.org has a database of literary magazines that take submissions and you can filter them to focus on social criticism etc. and they have a bunch of other stuff too!
I love to really engage with a literary magβs works and assess the vibes for at least a handful of issues before I consider submitting anything. my two current favorites are Paloma on Substack and Angel Food ποΈ
