My full name is Madelynn (which I love more than Maddie) My mom’s friends middle name is Lynn so I guess they brainstormed and came up with Madelynn? I like it! Now that I’m older I go by my Madelynn at school and jobs but eveyone still calls me Maddie which like… that’s me I guess!!! I don’t dislike the name Maddie but not my fav… my mom was gonna name me Sacara? She’s like idk it sounds cool ?! 🆒 Anyways I Like being Madelynn I think it’s pretty there’s so many Madison’s not enough Madelynn’s!

never liked my name growing up because most of elementary school was spent in florida. it was a huge culture shock coming from the north then being one of like two or three kids of color in my class at any given time. i wanted a stereotypical “white girl name” with a middle name like marie or rose. spent a lot of middle school going by daisy.
i also am greatly tired of the “deja vu” jokes.
my mom got my name from tyra bank’s character in “higher learning”/a tony! toni! toné! song. i guess that’s cool. she just spelled it very phonetically, which didnt help people’s mispronunciation of my easy name but (to me) looks very dumbed down on paper (day-JAH) and then people pronounce the j really hard idk.
most of my friends call me day ☀️ i like that at least. i wouldn't have minded the name raven, and i think my mom’s other name contender was tia (like sister sister) but that would have kind of rhymed with my last name so im good on that.

my name is Lauren and growing up I liked having a name that didn’t end in A like so many other popular girls’ names at the time, but I also felt like it was dull lol
Nowadays sometimes I forget my name is Lauren bc I’m around my kids all the time who call me mama, and my husband rarely uses my name because I ’m the only other adult in our house and it’s always abundantly clear when he’s talking to me (so he doesn’t need to use my name to get my attention). Whenever a friend uses it on a phonecall or something I sometimes get butterflies because I just never hear it lmao 😅
(sometimes on forums i go by Elle or Ellie tho)

I’m a Big Fat Queer (gender and sexuality) so my name always felt good, but not enough? I feel like Matt encapsulates the part of me that felt missing with Madeleine. But I also have a whole list in my phone of other names I think I’d enjoy, and I like going by Pikoliu online. I like seeing what different parts of myself come out with different names!
