Yeah so a TLDR — the market for watches was heavily dominated by men so something like 90% of watch designs are catered to men. You see how they’ll take a watch and shrink it and then label it as “women’s” which is 1. Lame and 2. Lazy. We’re seeing a revival in the women’s space for watches though so I’m enjoying seeing that & hoping it’ll continue to flourish until more brands start making things that are small and dainty again.

@MARIANOLEONCZIK YEAH ITS ROUGH. And now guys are buying smaller watches because they look nice so it makes it even harder to find!

I haven’t thrifted any watches, but all of my dainty vintage jewelry has come from unassuming antique/vintage shops in smaller cities/towns. Could be a fun adventure/ day trip!!

That’s a beaut. Unfortunately it feels like only on the haute horology end of things like bvlgari and van cleef do you still find these kind of pieces.
