genre: science fiction psychological horror?
fantastic casting. go in blind. one of the scariest movies i’ve ever seen in a slow inescapable terror kinda way. couldn’t look away and my stomach still drops when i think about it.
(i’m generally a wimp tho so horror nerds pls don’t judge.)

this movie is the ultimate slow starter and like a perfect lesson in building tension and atmosphere. then when it presses on the gas, it goes absolutely crazy.

I watched it in the creepiest theatre and the vibes were great. I forgot what the movie was supposed to be about so the intro of her biting the girls finger off caught me by suprise. Also the vibe of everyone there was really strange so 10/10

is a film that really got under my skin. it is more of a thriller/mystery that makes you feel as if you are being watched. the final act is absolute insanity and had me peering through my fingers to see what would happen next. made me very paranoid the night i watched it. spooky stuff.

after five years of grad school and subsequent job search, i can finally say i have successfully changed careers 😭 i start my new job counseling kids at a community mental health clinic on Monday. yesterday was my last shift at the grocery store that was an escape from my horrible corporate job and a sustaining force throughout grad school. it’s so bittersweet to leave the sweetest coworkers i’ve ever had and the most fun i’ve had at work. it’s immeasurably healing to quit a job for only good reasons. my coworkers got me a cake, everyone wrote notes in a card, and the goodbyes throughout the day made my heart swell. i even got to tell the good news to my favorite instacarter 🥺 after i clocked out for the last time, my friends joined me for gelato at the cafe and we strolled the store for a final time, this time as simply a loyal customer.
