on the topic of presents, i do want to try to start baking stuff to give to people for their birthdays or christmas. because i do often feel bad for not giving people stuff and another reason i generally can't is the fact i only have a job over the summer, which limits how much i have in terms of spending money on presents. i've tried so many times to make little paper gifts or something like that but i always give up because they suck :') but a couple times my friend meg has given me some cookies or something of the sort and i always always appreciate it!! so i'm gonna try start baking stuff to give as presents, as its a much cheaper and kind of hard to fuck up :)
p.s. thank you meg for all the baked goods <3 i cherish them dearly

In my experience while I think people appreciate gifts you pay for, I personally prefer to make something to give to them. I think especially baking (bread, cookies, a nice cake, etc) can show the person you put a lot of thought and physical effort into doing something nice for them, rather than if you just bought something.

i rarely if ever receive handmade gifts but man do i love making them!!! i have a yearly gift giving session w my bf and i always make him at least one or two presents, last year i made him a mixtape on cd and snuck in a recording of me playing and singing, and this year i'm gonna be making him a little diy cookbook since he started living alone and struggling w making food :) i'll probably throw in homemade dessert too. being a creative is a gift

my favourite thing to do ever. im lucky enough to have big enough floor space to do this!! it forces me to hoover my bedroom floor because i do NOT wanna be laying on that manky floor. it's so vibes and a bit sleepy and if you have a comfy enough floor, have a nap on your floor!!! also you can bring your laptop down and scroll py.fyi or check emails or make a review of the album you're listening to. best activity ever!!!!
