why does it take so many intermediaries to get a judge to decide to hold a company liable for murder. Consumption focused industries, like fossil fuel, plastic, and monoculture companies, are directly resulting in millions of human deaths. Beyond this, their global exploitation has lead to millions of animals, plants, and microorganism populations’ reduced to fractions of their original contribution to our ecosystem. the only people that seem to hold any power of control over these companies are national level policy makers. It seems like many of the senate and representative groups are tied up in many countries. I’m not sure why, but thats what i’m seeing. so this leaves the judges. how can we push them to do the right thing? Does it require lawyers to squeeze a ruling that will help things change? how can we get the law to face the climate emergency? they may be the only ones that can get us out of this siege.

In this country, all men are made equal before The Court. The Court. What a beautiful idea. Where a nobility gathers. Where a competition is formalized, sanctified, & made into sport. To Serve someone, to Summon someone before The Court. Where man is Judged, and blinded goddess Justice reveals herself. If you look at me wrong, I will be pursuing legal action. You’ll be speaking with my lawyer. You’ll be speaking with my lawyer’s lawyer. I’m badly injured & and I’m wearing a neck brace right now as I type this. This is your fault. How are you going to make me whole again? I seek restitution. I seek retribution. BANG BANG BANG. The Judge has come to a decision. You’re going to Gaol for 5 MILLION YEARS. And I will be collecting a dollar a year in perpetuity, per annum, ad infinitum.

Both a pain in the ass and a financial hardship for most people, but also one of the few opportunities the average person gets to have some meaningful impact in our deranged legal system

So I’ve been reminiscing on some of my older pottery accomplishments :)) As an intermediate potter, sometimes I find it hard to see themes in my work or trends in my style. i still think my stuff looks good tho
