I’m not a huge fan of Semetary but I really appreciate how him and the Haunted Mound producers really sticks to the Halloween bit. I wish there was more music like this. I want to listen to a techno artist but everything is pirate themed or like a cloud rapper who just sings about Christmas.

Three hours of spooky szn circa 2020 fer yer listening pleasure I especially dig Clan of Xymox's cover of the Cure's "A Forest" Atlas Sound's "A Ghost Story" and Pavement's "The Hexx" (which is highly underrated scary shit IMO) 🎃 💀 🧙🏻‍♂️

Everything on Ghost Box records evokes the weird & eerie folk horror-infused atmosphere I love. I’m also obsessed with songs that feature someone straight up talking or reading over music, so this is checking every box for me at the moment. I’m also trying to make stuff like this myself rn and finding inspiration in their catalog, so I‘m shuffling through their stuff and Advisory Circle and Pye Cornet Audio et al, all wonderful.

TW: Suicide Hi, I don’t know how this app works lol This is my favorite album of all time. I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You by Singer, Producer, Director, Occasional Rapper and Former YouTuber, Quadeca. It’s a concept album from the perspective of a newly deceased ghost who killed himself before the album takes place, roaming this state of limbo he’s in. He passes through old locations like his childhood home, and sees familiar faces like his grieving mother. As he goes through this state of limbo, he sees the effects his death had on his friends and family, he begs desperately to be seen by the world around him, and in the end, he regrets his choice to end his life. The albums is kind of hard to describe as one genre. Some songs have elements of Industrial Hip Hop, some have events of Glitch Pop, others have elements of Singer-Songwriter. On albumoftheyear.org, it’s described as having the genres of Folktronica and Art-Pop. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend listening to this album, it is so amazing, and really shows the artistic talent and evolution of Quadeca. FFO: Tyler, The Creator, Joji, Mid-Air Thief

This is the most beautiful movie I’ve ever seen I would absolutely recommend it to everyone. It won the Grand Prix at Cannes 2010 losing out to Uncle Boonme Who Can Recall His Past Lives (another incredible film)
