work lunch is this $17 'bedford ave' smoothie with vegan protein and sea moss gel. very west village coded. the vegan protein is so strong in flavor but not too bad. and don't worry, work covered the cost of this one.

Oh how I love you vitamin barn. With your overpriced supplements and coconut water and your more reasonably priced wraps and smoothies (arguable take). Two recommendations: 1. The veggie wrap (pictured below) Quite possibly the best veggie wrap available for purchase in the United States at least. Kale, shredded beets and carrots, sprouts, celery, cucumber, hummus, and a tomato One half for now, one in the fridge for later $12.99? #werecopping 2. The Lean Protein California greens, matcha, a-milk, dates, a-butter, coconut oil, banana, protein Now this is basically the same price as the veggie wrap. So there’s definitely an argument for it being less of a deal. But I’m addicted to paying over $10 for smoothies. This smoothie fills you up, subtlety satisfies your sweet tooth, makes you healthy (California greens), and gives you protein and energy. Don’t worry about the Thai Wrap or the hulk shake, just listen to me and you will be okay and happy. Bonus Features: They are so nice, 70% chance of meeting a dog in there, 100% chance of a creative director in white jeans/overalls Just get there before (4?) because the juice/sandwich bar closes earlier than the store

ok im pretty sure this is a test kitchen because they do delivery only but I have been chasing the high of 'american' chinese food since I became vegan seven years ago and they have NAILED IT. batter thickness, consistency, everything. they are putting the work in the LAB and if you're ever in or near rhode island its worth a taste, even if you aren't vegan you'll be hard pressed to find the difference.

take ur time!! let the city flow through you slowly. i moved to nyc and it took a YEAR for me to find my feet. it's scary and big and annoying and new and it will get you down but keep trudging forward. always explore, search for local stuff like on meetup, smores, even insta. it's so so so worth it. and even if it doesn't feel RIGHT, enjoy the adventure for now :)

when i went to italy by myself, i had cell service but barely any internet. i drove around northern italy all week with only the music i'd had downloaded on my phone and melodrama was the only album i had. this song (and the album) always meant a lot but in the context of me driving around italy in the countryside by myself... it means even more.

a24 zine, next to heaven (botm), and the long road, the chronology of water, and die, my love (the strand) i love the strand. like love love love the strand. it's become my spot to kill time when waiting for friends or my husband. i also love just browsing books on the weekends. i rarely come out with nothing, always a book or multiple books. i kinda went overboard this time but when the books call, i come! i still browse barnes and noble union square but the strand is just so much cooler. also the virgin suicides was a present from my husband! crazy crazy. teenage me would love i never let go of those girls. what are you reading rn????
