to be honest, i felt a little uncomfortable while reading it, but i also think about it a lot now and i actually really enjoyed it! the journey that tsukuru tazaki goes on and the differences between his life and the lives of his friends is so interesting to me. uncovering that mystery as he goes & figuring out just what happened for them to have left him??? i couldnāt put it down!!
i think itās not for everyone though. a lot of murakamiās works are like that to be honest, and like i said it made me go āeughā¦ā a little tooā¦ but if someone asks me for one of my favorite books i think iāll continue to tell them itās this, just because of how much the storyās stuck with me!!

such a good book. really made me think about the way i engage with food and the way i exist in the world and reevaluate those things. if you go into it wanting a horror novel you'll probably be disappointed, and it is on the slower side, but (like the food in the book) if you take the time to savor and enjoy it it's a really powerful experience

An amazing book-- i'm not sure if it's fiction or not but it's full of some of the most amazing prose i've read in my life. i encourage u to check it out, it changed the way i look at life :)

i love my best friend so much. they just get me they UNDERSTANDā¦ they know what i feel because weāre LITERALLY. the same person. ( ā”Ģ_ā”Ģ)į¤
we donāt hang out a lot outside of school because social battery & money are both low and doing fun things is SO. FREAKING. EXPENSIVE. and also forces us 2 interact with people other than each otherā¦ but we braved it yesterday !! ( źā”ź) which meant, of course, pouch drinks (mine was passion mango, theirs was pomegranate) and taiyaki ice cream from the korean/japanese storeā¦ and cute stickers we found @ the bus stop !!!
