Spectacular. Saw them in London at a packed and singing O2. I’ve always loved them but for whatever reason Jarvis’ Bowieisms hadn’t fully revealed themselves to me before this evening. What a fine, incredible band they are. Generational talents, as they say. Do yourself a favor and listen to the new album (among their best) and catch them live. Jarvis is on fire. 🔥 And as of last night they have the new number one album in the UK!

I find their grandeur amazing and very refreshing. Also musically I think that they have created something new which is very rare these days. Then add in Abigail Morris’s voice and it’s an uncontrollable burst of enthusiasm. From what I read they are blowing up the pop charts across the pond. I am not a fan of pop music, and I basically refer to it as pop trash. But not this pop band. Give this album a listen !!!

found them as an opener and went on a deep dive the night before seeing them live and omg!! the best thing to happen to indie rock in the last year imo. the whole album is insane but where we’ve been is a masterpiece and reminds me a lot of tpwhitb by black country new road so if ur into that listen! and if you want ur heart ripped out of ur chest listen to for ella 🫂

the chokehold this band has on me right now is wild. the range of this mid-western group, from heavy noise guitar to soft twangy country-esque songs puts them high up there for me as one of the best current rock bands. some fave songs: broadview, high, at home, preoccupied, falling apart, cramps, do you feel it, steel birds, young world

The man responsible for dozens of Teenage Symphonies to God "Sad songs about happy things" (the first time, as a kid, I can recall the sweet/sour combo of melodies that could make you cry attached to songs about endless, bottomless love) I've long since lost track of how many weddings and funerals I've attended that have featured this song; suffice it to say, "a lot." God only knows what we'd been without him 🙏🏻

Hey tyler hopefully this doesn’t violate some PI.FYI golden rule But after nearly two years of writing, editing and arguing, my book about the EP is coming out in May and can be preordered here: https://hozacrecords.com/product/aifl/ The book is about the origins, history and cultural impact of the EP since these little objects first started coming out in the 50s. Over 50 of my music biz friends then helped me shape the list and review the top 200 ever released, according to us (ha). For those of you who are into this kind of geekery/snobbery, I can’t wait to hear what you think. A labor of love, as all books are! ❤️
