Theyβre beautifully Illustrated and kind of double as affirmation cards with the notes at the bottom. I have no idea how to play but I do have a deck. I love looking through and displaying them.

my favourite is the pagan cats tarot deck. i also like small spells, mesquite, pagan otherworlds, apparition, and the classic smith-rider-waite.
pull cards for creative inspiration and inquiry, not predicting ;)

i started learning tarot recently, and started with the buffy themed tarot deck. i really love it and resonated with it very quickly. so far, tarot has been a nice practice that helps me look inward or look at things i wouldn't have thought to consider. i enjoy it enough that i was like "y'know what, it would be nice to have a small deck to bring around and also be able to use with other people too if they wanted" (i only use the buffy for me)
so i got the nifty smith waite centennial deck in a tin and i love it too. i love the more muted colors, i love having pamela coleman smith's lettering and i love how it's the right size where i can just chuck it into a bag (+my crystals) and have that little bit of magic with me if i want a little guidance.

it actually isn't that bad!
for a recent assignment i had to go out and draw people in public - just simple gesture drawings, nothing major. and kept forgetting to bring my earbuds at first. i'd get frustrated, yeah, but not enough to go back in and grab them. so i dealt with the silence, and it actually wasn't that bad at all? i mean, i was going to cafes a lot so that helped, but also libraries? places specifically meant to be quiet? and it was great, to the point where i purposefully left my earbuds at home to finish my assignment today.
consider: going places without your earbuds/headphones on purpose

seriously, if you haven't gone to your local library yet, you're missing out! i try to go every couple of weeks to return books and get more. while i love owning my own books as well, borrowing them from the library is great as well! not to mention what they do for ur local community, the resources they have, etc. all of this to say: go visit your local library!!!

seriously! like put on some background music and just sit there with your thoughts. see what comes up. draw weird doodles, make a world for them, sing to them, whatever. just be weird and bored.
to go directly against what i just said, i have a small pocket notebook i collect quotes/thoughts/jokes/poems/etc that i enjoy, and i go through it sometimes instead of scrolling. it takes a little time to get it to a point where it's useable like that, but it's worth it! bonus points if you print photos out and put them in too, make it like an inspiration notebook.
