I am much more satisfied w myself when I do this every day. Sometimes when my awareness has been compressed into a pop tart sized lcd screen, going outside and looking at the tree canopies can feel like an acid trip. When I'm not making a practice out of it I feel like I've lost the way. poem by Nanao Sakaki: If you have time to chat, Read books. I think there’s something so peaceful in noticing your surroundings and taking everything in. We are most of the time in such a hurry to get somewhere that we forget the place we are currently in. Trying to remind myself “don’t forget you are here as a person.”
