Massachusetts is best in the fall. You can wear your cute, not puffy, jacket & enjoy beautiful views while going for walks. Hot drinks are more “acceptable” and the air is fresher. Cider donuts, apples, & pumpkins, oh my!
The kind with leaves falling down trees and a kaleidoscope of colors, preferably. I grew up in the Midwest and experienced the seasons regularly, but moved to California as a teenager and forgot all about the beauty of autumns. Now that I'm back living in a place where there's seasons, I find myself appreciating them in a gentle way. I feel like I haven't seen all these different shapes of nature in a while, I feel childish again and I like feeling the cold wind against my skin.
more than anything it taught me to appreciate and find beauty in the mundan. it taught me to slow down. so much of me was revealed in it. i love it, greatly!
