This book was so good in a sticky/gooey kind of way, like you know you should not be enjoying consuming it, but hell yeah of course you are.

Vulture called it "the first great incel novel" but it's more than that. It's about shame and avoidance in the internet age and the extremes we reach when we suppress our desires.
I was thinking about this book for weeks afterwards and it really fucked me up

Ah, Poland in the late 80s! Dekalog 1 is probably the Saddest thing I've ever watched. Its devastating emotional impact can only be mitigated by copious amounts of sweets and food and days off
