itās my grandmothers on my moms side, they both died before i was born. i collect antiques and love clocks, so this is extra special to me

Made this little pocket altar earlier this year and take it with me in all of my bags as a good luck charm. In it are little charms passed down throughout my family, a locket with pics of my parents in it, a ballerina from a bracelet my great grandma gave me at my first dance recital (when I was 3), and a mini Polaroid of my cutie gf š„¹šš«

when i was little, my uncle lived in japan with his wife. they would always send my sisters and me toys and candy and things related to the culture wherever they traveled to. this little wooden figurine is something they sent us back then and iāve brought it with me everywhere iāve lived. he passed away back in august so itās become even more meaningful to me. i miss him literally every day and itās always so nice to be reminded of him through little things like this.

āHappiness Is A Warm Gunā
One of my favorite songs, and alot of Beatlesā fans least favorite song. The lyrics are so beautifully written and the song sounds ghostly when high. Written supposedly about a girl and sex, though moreso known for the song being about heroin on the DL. Another song with the same meanings is āGolden Brownā by The Stranglers, my absolute favorite song ever, written about a girl and heroin. Some of the most beautiful songs are written about heroin- or on heroin. im getting off track. I just want to ramble about this Beatles track. Im in love with this song, everything about it. The lyrics are so well written and the chorus breakdown fits so well, āI need a fix, im going downā, the lower harmonies and grittier instrumental. Iāve been there before, feel it in my bones, explains needing āa fixā perfectly musically.
āThe man in the crowd with his multicolored mirrors on his hobnail boots, lying with his eyes while his hands are busy working overtimeā You can envision it, you can envision them writing this song, you can feel the song. I try not to recommend classic rock or the beatles as itās been told and recommended thousands and thousands of times but i think this is a unique one- something different. Give it a listen if you havenāt!
