ngl i get a dopamine rush when one of my posts gets over 10 likes 🤣just like any other social media I tend to care too much about what people think of me and how I want to be perceived.. what I like about this site is nobody knows me so I don't necessarily care what anyone thinks about my posts.. yet I enjoy when people agree with my posts and like them!! like wow yup #GoodPost #GoodThought !!! but I have to remind myself that its really doesn't matter. I joined so I could post for myself and have an outlet for my ideas, reviews, etcccc 💯 as long as I don't let it affect what I chose to post I should be good... 👍🏻 anyways thank you for liking my posts 🤪

i know for a fact that i’m guilty of wanting that dopamine hit of having people see my posts and like them, but i’m trying to change my mentality around that here. i’m finding myself more at peace just posting my recommendations and taking solace that someone might find them in the future and enjoy what i suggest, rather than needing an instant gratification of a like. i feel as though i’m adding a brick to the communal building that is this cool userbase of interesting people.

I like this app because I can actually post what I want. I don't feel the need to rewrite my posts 200 times, or edit pictures. Hate comments are a thing of the past. I don't sit there looking at how many likes my posts are getting, and I no longer check to see how many followers I have consistently. I can simply post what I enjoy and find people who have common interests. I love it.

As long as I am posting stuff that is authentic and I’m proud of I don’t care because I can stand behind it & there’s no reason to be ashamed if no one notices it. Like on my art account I can post something I spent 30 hours on and get 10 likes and who cares. It’s something I’m curating for myself and maybe others in the future. But also even on here I tend to censor the things that I don’t think people will be interested in because then it just becomes noise. So intentionality is also important because it kind of prevents that sort of response

Relationships seem to be a big theme on this social media platform ! And I’ve seen a lot of great advice for dating!! On Sunday I met this hella cute girl through my friend’s friend and I was so nervyyyy I didn’t ask for her number or talk one on one much… I talked with my friend’s friend and we exchanged instas (big fan of getting people instagrams then never seeing eachother ever again but follow forever) and i happened to find cute girls insta… i am going to message her today and shoot my shot 🫣 #nerveracking I’ve only been in one relationship — started at 16, lasted for 5yrs, ended a year ago — so I’ve been single for a year and first time making a move with anyone let along pretty girl !
