The perceived selfishness of bringing a little human into the world is immediately balanced by the sacrifices you need to make as a parent to raise them in a safe and stable home, despite the world being such a challenging and unrelenting place.
The people who think that bringing a child into the world (by choice) is selfish, have a similar vibe to the people that think life is ultimately not worth living imo.
There are very few joys in life similar to watching a child experience the beauty of the world for the first time- I can’t imagine thinking so little of the human experience that you wouldn’t want to pass that on, ya know?
