i need to get them re-soled but they are built like tanks and look really nice with a bunch of different styles.

Blundstones and Redbacks are good if you want a glue down more lugged sole. A lot of the usual suspects like Redwing and Danner make a slip on with a Christy type welted resole-able type joint.
I think I found out about these through a gift guide linked on this app. Stellar, really feel the graduation from docโs to these guys. Hard not to wear them 24/7.
