Quite awhile ago, I told myself I would never buy premium sunglasses again. I always found myself loosing them in the ocean or leaving them behind somewhere.
A couple years ago, I broke my promise and bought a pair of Maui Jim shades. I've kept em and have wore the hell out of them. I just sent them back for nose piece and frame replacement free of charge. Great experience, great glasses

gotta protect ur eyeballs especially if u already have light sensitivity like me. i’ve been wearing these cheap plastic ones for the longest time and they arent very good at blocking the sun while keeping your vision clear. i think it’s worth getting a nice, functional, beautiful pair!

I have one pair of expensive sunglasses I’ve had since 2012 but the anxiety of holding on to them for that long has definitely not been worth it. I no longer like the way they look. Cheap sunglasses can be as “good looking” as expensive ones and you needn't be as worried about them getting lost or damaged.

Maybe this isn’t news to everyone like it was for me - there’s companies that will take any glasses frame you send to them and slap in some perscription lenses. While I haven’t sent a pair in just yet, it’s not from a lack of wanting it… I’m busy aggregating all the sunnies I own, and buying a few cheap pairs I’ve heard good things about (shoutout the x kds & the Oakley Eyejacket Tyler specials) to get my perfect pair.

My partners birthday is coming up. I think one of the best parts of gift giving is about the details. I found this wrapping paper, and I love it. I think the thought in the little details can mean more than the actual gift.
