U can sit in the hottest sauna in the city then go smoke a nice cigarette (or joint if u smoke kush) and wash it all down with a nice foreign beer and hot borscht soup. cold plunge smells a lil funky but it's worth it
Elite tier cold weather activity. Sauna hotter then hell with an oven inside of it, steam room, hot tub, cold plunge. When youāre done and have had your fill you also can hang out in a bathrobe and order some vodka and borscht.
Not super romantic but I have been loving smoking in my car before going to the gym, listening to my favorite music on the elliptical for a while, and then sitting in the sauna for a good long time :) Then I take a lovely warm shower and slather myself with lotions and potions. I leave feeling so grounded in my body and energized <3
The steam, the heat, the leaves, the cold plunge to shock you back, the time away from your phone to focus on how fucking hot it is in this small wooden room. its beautiful and perfect.
Corto is a coffee shop in Bed-Stuy and my go to if Iām in the area. I do a lot of work there and they now stay open a little later and started serving wine and āsmall bitesā. They have the best Fococcia Iāve ever had in my life and subsequently some of the best sandwiches. Fair warning - it is $15 bucks for something that will not fill you up - but itās totally worth it. Their backyard is perfect and isn't one of those places that has the annoying ass āNO LAPTOPS ALLOWEDā sign at the front. (Ok they do have it but thatās just for weekends)
It is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in the city. Itās an italian place in the west village on Christopher Street and truly only one of the places where you donāt feel like you just got ripped off leaving. The spinach gorgonzola gnocchi goes crazy, The chicken milanese is fantastic and definitely get the grilled squid if youāre into those sort of things.
