I ve seen all the movies so I know what’s gonna happen. But why does it hit different and harder in the books!?!?! Im a grown ass adult and STILL am shocked At these plot twists and social commentary! Plus everytime I carry one of these books I’m reading, I always get a wonderful comment from a stranger. Which is fun

so i can’t tell you exactly what kicked that off for me. i will say, what exacerbated it was seeing a girl in my second grade gifted and talented class reading harry potter and the goblet of fire and i was jealous bc the book was thick as hell and we were only 7!! so i started the series out of spite so i could get to the fifth book before she did. becuase i read so many books as a child, i would say they’re All formative to me in some way. but when i saw this ask, the first book i thought of was ā€œthe miraculous journey of edward tulaneā€ā€¦ this may sound sad but it was the first book i remember ever making me cry. i didn’t know you could be connected to a book like that until then, so i think of it warmly and fondly. it’s like wow there really are new worlds and beating hearts between pages… (i also remember reading another book that made me cry when i was slightly older. it was about a girl without a shadow who had some sort of cat familiar that followed her around. i remember fighting tears so hard but also can’t remember the title for the life of me.) (a series of unfortunate events had me hooked too. i think i was into some pretty somber stuff loool).

can i be honest? i read this when i was a kid and i’m still thinking about it. i know that it would be cool for me to mention a more complex book or whatever but i just cannot shake my love for the story .. it was the first book that really wowed me so i just hold it near and dear to my heart

The vibe at those bookstores was unreal!! Best part was seeing everyone sit on the sidewalk and start reading as soon as they got their copy. My sister and I had to share so we’d take turns reading chapter by chapter šŸ˜„

You stuck in JFK with a bunch of other bozos who spent double on their tickets. you’re all squished together headed on uncomfortable flights to see your family fight at the dinner table during the holidays. Pffft. Instead. Stay home for the holidays and tell your family you’ll be visiting in January when the flights are nearly empty and the ticket prices are criminally cheap. Been doing this a couple of years now and it’s really the tits.

You see the same trend being utilized everywhere but the only people who get it right are (yes, you guessed it) Librarians. You didn’t know you needed it until, oops, you stumbled upon the Milwaukee Public Library tik tok and they are roasting and also paying a beautiful homage the Twilight novels to the tune of Billie Eilish’s melodical ballad ā€œWhat Was I Made Forā€ or something like that. They deep down know your secrets and deepest fantasies and post them on a 10 second video. The videos swing and NEVER MISS! You’re thinking ā€œwait how’s that possible?ā€ If they know how to read a book, they certainly know how to READ YOU! After they have pinpointed your soul, what do they do? They give you excellent content that makes you think, ā€œDamn better book my next trip to Milwaukee Public Library and Thank them for their service,ā€ 🫔because Librarians are by the people, for the people!

Google image searching ā€œMr.Burns Halloween costumeā€ is more nightmare inducing than I had planned for a cheeky costume. Q: was 5:21am the time to research this? A: yes Q: shall I be returning to slumber soon? A: dear god, no.
