Whenever my friends and I hang out at a restaurant or store, I make sure to pick up the little neglected business cards at the cashier or take the post card attached to the restaurant check. I take them home and tape them to a page in my journal as a memory of the day. My roommate and I have started collecting the restaurant post cards and hang them on the fridge because we love to go out to eat.

Started collecting coasters with my roommate back in Boston 5 or 6 years ago and have ones from all over like Portland, Montreal, Barcelona and Japan. My favorite custom coasters from different places like local spots around nyc or wherever. I added postcards a couple years, some are related to travel but a lot of them are from different art museums I go to. I usually go to the museum store after I’m done and pick out a couple paintings or pictures of installations I really liked. I put a lot of them on this cork board in my apartment and I like it a lot because most have a good story behind them.

I have done this everywhere that I have lived. There are some beautiful images lost on the discarded blank face of a postcard, and they deserve to be cherished just as much as the big piece of art you have framed in your living room. You can find many for cheap at your local thrift. There’s a lot of fun to be had in grouping different images together for a collage effect. Space them out a bit more if it all feels a bit claustrophobic. Use some blue painter's tape for a pop of color.

I started collecting postcards a couple of years ago, and I now have two photo albums filled with them! They’re from all over and many of them are gifts from others as well. I also tend to use them as wall decor! My favorites are all pieces from art history—one of my favorite disciplines of study as both an artist and a historian ;) most bookstores sell them, especially used bookstores! They’re a really fun item to collect as they each hold geographical and contextual significance in different ways!

I’m on my 5th rewatch of One Tree Hill. Can’t get enough of the plot holes and silly dialogue. Don’t ask me how many times I’ve seen Vampire Diaries.

I’ve actually had a recurring dream where 2 people in my friend group (who idk irl— they’re totally made up) broke up and the guy started dating another of the friends. The girl was fine single but we had another guy in the group who was in love with her and wanted to ask her to marry him (despite our pleads for him not to). Each dream, he gets closer and closer to popping the question. The last dream I had, he’d finally got down on one knee and was about to do it at the weirdest and inopportune time. And as soon as he opened his mouth to ask, I woke up. The dream hasn’t come back since. Oh and we’re around our late teens/early twenties I think? I’m in my thirties so I thought this was a significant detail. I haven’t deciphered it yet but I can’t believe I haven’t finished this saga.
