it was somewhere on a blog years ago, where someone broke that down in depth - basically if you're getting shit pay, whatever fun thing you bought with that money is shit.
I used to impulse shop quite a bit before I read that adage, and now really think through my circumstances when I'm impulse shopping, like wtf am I doing? Why am I throwing so much money on this when I could just... chill?
