People are too afraid to flirt nowadays for fear of "cringe". They jump straight to asking for your social media @ or just ignore your existence and dismiss you as an attractive stranger. I find that the right setting is crucial because (1) it's a self-selection thing. People who want to talk to other people will not choose a club as their first destination for a genuine conversation. (2) dimly-lit settings with music playing lightly in the background is inherently romantic. Good luck out there

if you love books, find a bookstore, wander around, and don’t be afraid to approach someone first—chances are the person you approached and yourself already have something in common.
if you want to have a romantic cafe encounter, go to a cafe and just start chatting to strangers! you like the barista? flirt a little and slide your number to him written on a napkin. (always have a pen on you—asking people to put their number in your phone is an awkward exchange. you want the mystery of sliding your number over, then disappearing with a final wink. and don’t wait on someone to text you back, it might not happen so flirt around!!)
you want a partner who might be a bit of an aristocrat? hang out in the places they may congregate—golf courses, beach clubs, that kind of thing—and doll up. just start chatting! honestly, we live in a world where people don’t approach strangers anymore, so you need to be the change you want to see.
or you even like musicians? go hang out in music lounges!!!
don’t go to places that make you feel very uncomfortable or hold the characteristics of a partner you don’t want. if you hate clubbing, don’t go to a club and hope to find your future partner—because that might already be a glimpse into the future of your relationship.
anyways, i hope that makes sense. but honestly, if you feel confident in yourself, it makes approaching strangers so much easier. (who knows, you might even be the one approached.) so serve yourself first. get yourself in a good mental place before getting into the dating scene.

I use no dating app as I am too beautiful and it’s all too confusing for a nubile young girl like me… however my sometimes-habit of yapping with random old/interesting/cute persons I encounter on my hour+ long commutes home has recently bore the fruit of some really incredible and unexpected first dates. I recommend chatting with the attractive stranger - maybe give social media only if you are a bit afraid but if anything it is a great exercise in Remembering How To Talk In a Human Way Like a Normal Person 💯
