The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. Its short and active and effective agree with the others for Meditation i do a support group that I find tremendously helpful A big switch came for me when I started changing my thinking from "once i do enough X work or X activities or X skills, then surely i will feel better about myself" towards just trying to be aight with myself right now, accepting that im Good Enough right now. ive been working on all this for years now, and its gotten considerably better! wishing u well! if u ever want to share more feel free to reach out

I’ve been tryna stay marveling. Seeing things with new eyes. It feeds gratitude, which is good for your skin and blood pressure and inflammation (purportedly). It also keeps me clear of pre-conceptions and limits external noise, as wonder allows me to process my experiences in a way that is present and contextualized by my own perspective. I feel like it was sooooo cooool for so long to romanticize cynicism but apathy is so passé and minimizing the magic available to us is wasteful, and wastefulness is tacky. Shoshin in Zen Buddhism, that openness and perpetual student* type approach. *I never went to college but I follow Depths Of Wikipedia on Instagram.

i came across this rec quite randomly and i haven't read sci-fi in so long, i wondered if it would be too much for me but this book was delightfully fun! the main character wakes up from a coma aboard a spacecraft and pretty much has to work his way backward to remembering why he is here, what he is doing here, who even he is, so on. the last sci-fi i had read was the 'artemis fowl' series when i was a kid which i genuinely enjoyed so much that i had quite a lot of expectations for this one- it wasn't what i expected but definitely wasn't a let down too (struggling to review without giving a spoiler so just rambling)

i absolutely love her 🌼 she is an amazing songwriter and singer and her songs feel so truthful and relatable 😭 i like every album of hers but this is probably my favorite - "This summer"! i have listened to "October" on this album a million times, its melancholic and beautiful and transports me every time i listen to it 🥹
