When I watch movies i want to look at each thing and break it down. Even a “bad” movie has something to say.
I know how much work does into them. I find knowing why the artist made it so very rewarding.
@CHAMOMILEMISTY yeahhh it’s so tough, esp because art is so personal a lot of the time. However art critiques is how they get better!! It hurts but normally people are right (at least that’s what I find)
It’s hard to describe Theo Anthony’s films and do them justice. This one focuses on cameras, bias, and perception but like all his films, it is so much more than the sum of its parts
I like to have one book to make me think and one for fun. At the moment I’m reading the Fall by Albert Camus and Pageboy by Elliot Page. Both are insightful but when I get tired of first person pov and need more academia I can swap!
