when I was younger me and my mom would go to the library and I would make her rent the vhs everytime we went. this probably went on for at least half a year. i can’t speak to what drew me to this movie as a four year old but in recent rewatches I have discovered this is one of the most beautiful and tender movies of all time. Goofy loves his son so stinking much and it reminds me of how lucky I am that my parents also love me that much

My parents would cry laughing at this movie every time. They barely watched movies but adored this one. it’s always had a soft spot in my heart. it’s so simple and cute.

Long story short, I think I first watched it when I was around 9 or 10. I had just moved to a new place, didn’t know anyone yet, and had recently become friends with someone who ended up being really special in my life. I remember her brother had this huge movie collection, and one day they invited me over to watch something and it was Spirited Away. So not only did that moment mark the beginning of our friendship, but the film also became one of my all-time favorites because of everything it represents. I’m not the kind of person who usually watches the same movie over and over, but this one was an exception! I’ve watched it countless times. Back then, it sort of became our thing to watch movies together, and I think that’s when I really started falling in love with films.

Truly not trying to be cool, the simple fact is that this movie is like cocaine for a child of divorce. The whole thing of your parents turning into something you can't recognize and feeling like you have to move through the world alone, hits a little too close to home. I bought the DVD at a newstand when I was five to have something to do at my dad's apartment and never went back. Watched like two times a week, every week, for like a year

I discovered this soap at Publix while I was buying fried chicken. kinda smells like how those earthbound stores that used to be in every mall look like. im 24 years old and I still have to pull the shower curtain back to check for monsters every time I sit down to use the potty
