Slows you down to think about what you're communicating. Improves hand strength. Is quite romantic imo. Keeps alive a slowly fading art form. I keep a notebook that only gets cursive text, and I use cursive to write all my notes to friends and lovers. Imbues words with a kind of magical human intention that I definitely feel. As per my example, even cool if you do it messy.

I love writing in cursive so much. I love seeing other people’s cursive handwriting. I think I learn a lot about a person from their handwriting, no judgment, and doesn’t matter if it’s sloppy or whatever…. Cursive feels like art. It’s emotional. It’s underrated. I want to see more people writing in cursive.

though I can admit that I enjoy the energy of an all uppercase moment. I just think that cursive adds an elegant touch.

write in cursive, never lift the pen from the paper, and let your thoughts flow freely from your hand. You might not be able to read it all back, but you’ll be able to gain a general idea. Plus all the greats did it. It’ll also give your family and friends some interesting stuff to sift through when you croak. 💀 Fun fact: Leonardo Da Vinci wrote in a mirrored cursive style, and from the right to left, so that only he could decipher what it said when needed.

It occurs to me... that the posts I most connect with are ones where people unfurl their weirdo habits, values, inner lives (i love the "crush" genre of pi posts), ways of living, likes, dislikes, life philosophical points of view etc. I do treasure proper recs with an object, i.e. a new record or book or 8 hour youtube video, but I find myself really moved when someone shares how they live a good life. appreciating!!

I've been on a real journey lately. You see the person across the room and you know them... and you know they know you... but you know that they aren't going to come over and say hi... do it. Take the plunge. However the approach needs to happen, make contact. Don't wait until you see them at the next networking event and say "hey were you at the taco place the other day?" It's surprisingly empowering and frankly kind of an impressive social maneuver. The reward is giddy and powerful and immediate. It makes me feel like I've broken out of the matrix.
