i was about 3 or 4 years old when my eldest sister was in middle school. everyday before school, she would watch mtv. i genuinely believe i gained sentience while watching the helena music video on mtv at like 6 in the morning while my sister got ready for school. this is one of my fondest (and probably my first) memories and mcr will forever mean so much to me

When I was 13 my dad introduced me to Hole and I was instantly obsessed and that partially is what got me into songwriting. I still get full body chills from this performance now that Iโm rewatching for the first time and Iโm a music student writing a paper on the prose on this record

my mum always used to always play me the song as a little kid. as i grew up i realised it would have been her comfort song after splitting up with my dad... heartbreaking stuff, but i have very fond memories associated with it - dancing in the kitchen with her, singing along to it in the car etc. ๐ซถ๐พ
