Let me tell you, when your feline son climbs out of a fourth story window and needs jaw surgery, it is literally a life saver

I have 2 cats. 1 of them is a year old so she still in kitten mode 🐈‍⬛ but I’d be spending so much $$$ if it wasn’t for pet insurance

little fucker stopped being able to pee last night and i had to take him to the emergency vet. they’ve put a catheter in him and he’s in observation until tomorrow evening. my biggest achilles heel is that i love him so much. i love him $3000 worth of medical bills. guys, having a savings is so important. mines gutted but so grateful i have it. on the plus im cleaning a lady’s bathroom for money tonight to recoup some ps if you male cat is trying to piss in your plants and having trouble, you should take him to the hospital because it could kill him. very common in toms on account of their narrow urethral opening

I vet friend recommended I get this arthritis medicine for our 15/16-ish year old cat (he's a rescue we dk for sure). You have to inject it with a needle yourself which kinda freaks me out cause I don't want to miss. its also $50 a month which is not cheap but not the worst. The results are amazing though, he has so much more energy, can jump better, plays more. Hard rec for those with 9+ yr old cats.

It occurs to me... that the posts I most connect with are ones where people unfurl their weirdo habits, values, inner lives (i love the "crush" genre of pi posts), ways of living, likes, dislikes, life philosophical points of view etc. I do treasure proper recs with an object, i.e. a new record or book or 8 hour youtube video, but I find myself really moved when someone shares how they live a good life. appreciating!!

I've been on a real journey lately. You see the person across the room and you know them... and you know they know you... but you know that they aren't going to come over and say hi... do it. Take the plunge. However the approach needs to happen, make contact. Don't wait until you see them at the next networking event and say "hey were you at the taco place the other day?" It's surprisingly empowering and frankly kind of an impressive social maneuver. The reward is giddy and powerful and immediate. It makes me feel like I've broken out of the matrix.
